Mosaic 2021
30-31 October
Are you that student who’s always at the front of a march? Or moving inclusivity initiatives forward in your school or community? Or speaking out against global injustice?
Then we'd like to encourage you to apply for Mosaic (formerly Focus on Diversity) on October 30-31. This virtual program — open to high school juniors and seniors committed to inclusion and equity initiatives — will introduce students to our community as well as to Mount Holyoke’s diversity and inclusion efforts and resources.
Here’s what a few of our current students have to say about them:
“The community I found through the cultural centers has been my rock. MEChA has changed my life both as an activist and a person.” Kimberly, New York, New York
“I am affiliated with the Betty Shabazz cultural center through my participation in the Association of Pan African Unity (APAU). This space has enriched my MHC experience by being a space where I can fully express myself and find support from other students of the African diaspora. It’s where I’ve been most comfortable and supported as a Black woman at Mount Holyoke.” Olivia, Oakland, CA
“When I first came to Mount Holyoke during the Experience Diversity Weekend, I went to the open house for the Asian Center for Empowerment and met the Liga Filipina org. I met students who looked like me, came from similar backgrounds as me, were strong and independent, had something to say and weren’t afraid to say it.” Kalea, Waddell, Arizona
Eager to hear more student voices?
I hope you'll consider applying. Please note that the application deadline is October 15, 2021.
*Mount Holyoke is a Women's Liberal Arts College in the USA
