£59.00
In the morning session, we’ll focus on everything you need to do in order to study Computer Science at university, from your applications to subject choices at school and grades to obtaining work experience, by the end of the session you should have an understanding of everything you will need to do in order to get a place at university.
We’ll also cover all the various career roles a degree in Computer Science can lead to, expanding your understanding of the career and hopefully introducing you to some other options you could consider too.
The industry is fiercely competitive and employs large numbers of highly qualified people, this morning session will prepare students for everything they would need to do in order to gain a place at a leading university to study Computer Science and challenge students to make sure the profession is right for them.
In the afternoon we’ll concentrate on giving you some meaningful work experience that you can use in your applications to university.
You’ll be given a coding task that’s accessible for anyone new to the field yet one that can be made more challenging for those already with basic skills.
You will be given all the software needed to complete the task online and at the end of the day, you’ll receive a certificate that you can use in your applications to a Computer Science degree.
It’s our aim that by the end of the day you’ll have a better understanding of how the industry works, know what you need to do for a successful application and have some great material to use in your applications to help you secure a place.
We have bursaries available for UK and International students to enable them to attend our courses without charge or at a reduced cost. There are 150 free places available each year & a further 100 at a reduced cost for those students requiring financial help.
