About the Lecture Series

Gresham College are hosting an economics and history lecture series from October 2023 - April 2024.


The lecture series will the US and USSR's competing visions for the modern world. All lectures will be hosted by Professor Martin Daunton from the University of Cambridge.


Import Substitution: A Failed Strategy For Growth?

Professor Martin Daunton will discuss the effectiveness of policies after the Great Depression on industries, state regulation and welfare.
