About the Taster Lecture

Join this taster lecture to explore whether electronic engineering is the right course for you. Throughout the session you will learn how to program an Arduino microcontroller and use it to control an electronic circuit. You will be gain experience with writing computer code.


  • 4pm: Log in and get comfortable

  • 4.05pm: Welcome and introduction to the department

  • 4.20pm: Interactive subject taster

  • 5pm: Q&A session with current undergraduate students

  • 5.25pm: Closing remarks and next steps


Who is this taster lecture suitable for?

Students in IB1 and IB2 who are interested in studying Electronic Engineering at university.


Please do not register to attend if you have any lessons or other pre-planned activities which may overlap with this taster lecture, unless you have received authorised permission to do so.
