Are you ready to save the world? Join University of Southampton on campus in June for a brand-new programme of activity, designed to demonstrate how we are preparing our undergraduates with the knowledge and skills to help tackle some of the world's greatest challenges.
We are running five days of on-campus activity from 27 June until 1 July 2022. Each day will include a variety of taster sessions on different topics all linking to the overarching theme of sustainability.
Thursday 30 June: Exploring STEM
Explore pure and applied sciences and their multifaceted impact on our world’s development. From great mathematicians' blue skies thinking to their timeless impact on technological advancement in healthcare, geo-spatial mapping and cybersecurity. Explore the impact of chemistry and crystallography on predicting and designing anti-viral drugs against Covid-19. Discover innovation within electronics and computer science and wider engineering such as achieving net zero in shipping and designing floating off-shore wind turbines.
Join us on Campus on Thursday 30th June 2022 to learn more about the challenges facing Earth's inhabitants and how, by studying one of these key degree areas, you could help save the world. The day will run from 08:30 – 16:00 and participants will select a specific subject based pathway for the day. You will be able to select from the following on the booking form:
