Dr Jack Panter from the University of East Anglia will explore the science of fluid dynamics. You will have the opportunity to discover how air flows round an aerofall in the wind tunnel lab, understand how computer simulations allow us to see inside the normally invisible flow, and analyse the forces at play that make a wind turbine turn.
Dr David M Birch from the University of Surrey will then present some of the most advanced analyses carried out in engineering and how they are built upon the same principles of mechanics.
