About the Debate
Join Associate Professor, Dr Nicholas Grant, who will discuss and debate Do The Right Thing by Spike Lee. Throughout the session, you will explore the historical and political elements that shaped the production of the film, themes relating to race, identity, police violence and gentrification in the US, and the ways in which Lee addresses the politics of Black protest.

Students in IB1 and IB2 with an interest in the film or those considering a degree in Film Studies or other related disciplines.
