Our Financial Aid Philosophy
The Hopkins community is built on differing ideas and diverse perspectives uniquely suited to solve the world’s biggest challenges. For this reason, we are committed to making a world-class education affordable to the best, brightest, and most engaged students from various countries and cultures.

Financial aid for international citizens
We meet 100% of calculated financial need for both domestic and international citizens.
We work with students to calculate what their family can afford to contribute toward the total cost of attendance, then we cover the rest. This financial aid promise applies to both U.S. and international citizens.
We cover what students need with grants and work study, not loans.
That means the money doesn’t have to be paid back, and our students have the opportunity to participate fully in the academic community at Hopkins while also engaging freely on campus and throughout Baltimore.
We have virtual financial aid events specifically for international citizens.
