    Join representatives from Harvard, Pomona, Stanford, and Wellesley to hear how we evaluate applications. What role do the various pieces of the application play? What do we mean when we talk about considering the match between the ”whole person” and our institution? We will also share information about financial aid and provide some general tips for your college search.     At York, we run a series of free online courses for students to enjoy and learn from. This free online course is available for any student and is suitable for post-16 students. Starting on Monday 20 September, learn how to use logic to evaluate arguments and discover more about philosophical concepts like truth-tables and logical form. The course lasts 4 weeks and 4 hours per week participation is recommended

We will look at imaginative design concepts, and how to translate your ideas with materials and systems. This workshop will also touch on materiality, sustainability collaborative processes and manufacturing within a global context. We will also look at recent student work and explain more about related areas of study. Participants will learn about approaches to design that they can apply to their own practice and in the development of their portfolios.

  • The University of California Application for 2021-2022 cycle is now open

    The UC Application is Open Students can now start their application for fall 2022, including entering personal information, self-reporting their courses and grades, and drafting their Personal Insight Questions (PIQs). The application submission period begins on November 1, and the deadline is November 30. As a reminder, the UC system does not participate in Early Action or Early Decision. Get a head start by logging in to My UC Application today UC is “Test-Free” Just a reminder that UC will not use SAT or ACT standardized test scores in any part of our application process. Any scores submitted through the UC application will be used after the admissions process for placement or subject credit. However, readers will not see the scores as a part of the review process. Subject exams such as the SAT subject or AP scores will be seen and can be used as “value added” in the application process, but are still not required. We work with students to calculate what their family can afford to contribute toward the total cost of attendance, then we cover the rest. This financial aid promise applies to both U.S. and international citizens. We cover what students need with grants and work study, not loans. That means the money doesn’t have to be paid back, and our students have the opportunity to participate fully in the academic community at Hopkins while also engaging freely on campus and throughout Baltimore. We have virtual financial aid events specifically for international citizens.
